About the Dundee Community Resilience Team

Discover our mission, values, and the impact we strive to make in Dundee. We are dedicated to supporting our community through preparedness and response.

Our purpose: Supporting our community

The Dundee Community Resilience Team was established in 2025 by former members of Tayvalley REACT after that team ceased operations. Our aim is to build a team of local volunteers equipped and trained to assist the emergency services and Dundee City Council prepare for and recover from severe weather conditions and other natural and man-made disasters, including flooding, snowstorms, extreme weather, public health events and utility services failures.

Our goal is to ensure our community is ready for anything.

Our core beliefs: Ready to Respond, Resolved to to Protect.

Our guiding principle is simple: "Ready to Respond, Resolved to Protect." We believe in empowering ordinary people to step up and help our community in times of need. This commitment drives everything we do, from our rigorous training to our collaborative spirit with emergency services.

Who benefits from our support?

When emergencies strike in Dundee, the entire community benefits from our team's support. We focus on assisting those most vulnerable, including the elderly, disabled, and other members of our community who may require extra help during crises.
